Lyophilisation

Wockhardt is significantly investing to upgrade our lyophilisation capabilities, spanning over two continents. We are investing in two new state of the art sterile facilities in Wrexham, UK and Aurangabad, India, ensuring Wockhardt will be ideally placed to meet your demanding market, quality and regulatory requirements.

By December 2009, our UK plant will offer a purpose built, fully automated lyophilisation facility. Three new 30m2 freeze-driers will be installed, giving a total of 100m2 of freeze-drying capacity. Utilising the latest technology, the UK facility will offer development, scale-up and commercial scale manufacturing for a range of vial sizes from 2mL to 100mL. Comprehensive, large scale refrigerated storage will also be available for freeze-dried finished product where required.

A virtual walk through of the UK facility will soon be available for our clients to view.

By the second quarter of 2011, our Uk plant will offer purpose built, fully automated lyophilisation facility.

Both new facilities will be fully compliant with both FDA and MHRA requirements.
