Lyophilisation
By December 2009 our Indian plant will offer a
purpose built, fully automated lyophilisation facility consisting
of two 30mē freeze-driers, a total of 60mē freeze-drying capacity.
Utilising the latest technology, this facility will offer scale-up
and commercial scale manufacturing for a range of vial sizes from
2mL to 100mL. Comprehensive, large scale refrigerated storage will
also be available for freeze-dried finished product where required.
Wockhardt's UK plant already offer lyophilisation for ampoules and
by the end of 2011 / 2012, our UK plant will offer a purpose built,
fully automated new vial lyophilisation capability.
Both facilities will be fully compliant with both FDA and MHRA requirements.
